The link at the bottom of this page will allow you to download the latest version of software, so you may update your Back in a Flash™.

Installation is easy: turn Back in a Flash™ off, perform the download, extract the files inside the Zip folder you downloaded, go to the BackinaFlash folder of your Back in a Flash™, as a safety measure save somewhere in your hard disk the files currently there, and take the extracted files from the download and place them inside the BackinaFlash folder. For less experienced users, please read and print the following step-by-step instructions before you start.
  • Make sure your Back in a Flash™ is connected and then turn it off by right-clicking on the Back in a Flash™ icon in the system tray and clicking on Exit.
  • Click on the download link below.
  • When asked if you want to Open or Save the downloaded file, choose Save and then select a place/folder on your hard disk where the Zip file can be saved.
  • If you are asked, click to allow/continue the process.
  • Click on My Computer, right-click on the Back in a Flash drive (it might be F: or G:) and select Open to view its contents, and then right-click on the BackinaFlash folder and select Open to view its contents.
  • Highlight all of the files (by clicking on the first one and then keeping the Ctrl key pressed while you click on the remaining files).
  • With the cursor on top of any of the highlighted files, right-click and select Copy.
  • Click on My Computer, double click on the hard disk drive (probably C:), find a folder where you would like to store the files that are currently in your Back in a Flash™, double click on the selected folder, right-click anywhere on the blank part of the window showing the files in the selected folder, and click on Paste (this is a safety measure).
  • Click on My Computer, find the folder where you initially saved the downloaded file and double click on the BackinaFlash Zip folder to extract/view the new software files.
  • Highlight all of the files (by clicking on the first one and then keeping the Ctrl key pressed while you click on the remaining files).
  • With the cursor on top of any of the highlighted files, right-click and select Copy.
  • Go to the BackinaFlash folder in your unit as you did earlier on step 5 (click on My Computer, right-click on the Back in a Flash drive and select Open to view its contents, right-click on the BackinaFlash folder and select Open to view its contents).
  • Right-click anywhere on the blank part of the window showing these files and select Paste.
  • When asked, allow the computer to copy the new files to overwrite the old ones.
  • To restart Back in a Flash™, double click on the new BackinaFlash.exe file.
  • You may then close any windows that opened during the installation.

After reading above instructions, click here to download Version 1.10.3 of the software.

You may run a wizard that will automatically download and install the update here.

A new version of the Kernel is also available. Please contact us support@BackinaFlash.com for details on the  upgrade process.
